About Friends of Haytor View
Friends of Haytor View Primary PTFA is the parent, teacher and friends association supporting Haytor View Primary School & Nursery in Newton Abbot.
We bring families, school and the wider community together to raise funds, create opportunities and support projects that enrich school life for our children.
We organise events, seek funding, build community partnerships and find practical ways to give children experiences and resources that complement the work of the school.

Our committee works together with the school, families and wider community to plan events, raise funds and develop projects that benefit children at Haytor View.
What We Do
We raise funds through events, community fundraising and grant applications, while also building relationships with local businesses, organisations and community groups.
Our aim is to support projects that make a meaningful difference to children at Haytor View — from outdoor learning and sensory resources to trips, visits, music, performances and special experiences.
We also want our events to be welcoming opportunities for families and the wider community to come together.
Our Purpose
We believe every child should have the opportunity to learn, explore, have fun and discover new experiences.
Friends of Haytor View exists to help make those opportunities possible by bringing people together and finding creative ways to support our school and its children.
Working With Haytor View
We work closely with Haytor View Primary School & Nursery to understand where additional support can make the greatest difference.
The PTFA is run by volunteers and operates separately from the school, while working in partnership with school leaders, staff and families to support agreed projects and activities.
We aim to be open about how we raise and use funds, and to make sure our fundraising benefits the children and wider school community.
Our Community
Friends of Haytor View is built around the idea that everyone has something to contribute. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, member of staff, local resident, business owner or community organisation, there are lots of ways to get involved.
You don't have to attend every meeting or volunteer at every event. A little help, an idea, a donation or an introduction to someone who could help can all make a difference.
